Through the partnership, Dot Foods provides food donations to strengthen UAP’s programs that help individuals gain access to affordable groceries, job training, and crisis stabilization services. The partnership reflects Dot Foods’ longstanding commitment to reducing food waste, giving back to the communities it serves, and supporting organizations working to make a meaningful impact.

"At Dot, we believe in doing more than just delivering food—we want to help build stronger communities,” said Lisa Ritter, alternative market coordinator at Dot Foods “Partnering with United Against Poverty allows us to support families beyond our current distribution center footprints, helping those in need and providing resources that can help them create long-term stability.”

UAP operates Member Share Grocery Programs, crisis care centers, and workforce development initiatives across multiple communities. Dot Foods’ contributions will help expand these programs and allow UAP to reach more families with critical resources.

"This partnership with Dot Foods will allow us to further our mission of lifting lives and strengthening communities,” said Jackie Kazimer, director of product partner relationships at UAP. “Together, we’re working toward a future where every family has the opportunity to thrive.”

The UAP and Dot partnership began in June 2025. Since then, Dot has donated nearly 250,000 pounds of food and reduced food waste by more than 90% at its headquarters in Mt. Sterling, Illinois. This product was nearing the end of its shelf life. The partnership with UAP allowed Dot to get good food in the hands of those who need it while simultaneously preventing waste. The two organizations continue to identify opportunities to strengthen the partnership and reach additional communities by expanding the collaboration to more Dot Foods distribution centers and working with additional nonprofit parnters to increase access to food and family support services.
