The Dot Family Health Center is a valuable resource for more than 500 eligible Dot Foods and Dot Transportation employees who work at the Cambridge City facility, along with their spouses and dependent children enrolled in the company's medical plans.

Dot opened its first Cambridge City Family Health Center in 2014, a few blocks from the distribution center. It was the company's second location to offer a Family Health Center, following the first center that opened at Dot's Vidalia, Georgia, distribution center in 2013. Since then, Dot has expanded the program to all 13 of its U.S. distribution centers.

The new Dot Family Health Center brings the facility onto the Dot campus, giving employees an even more convenient option for care.

"Our employees are the heart of our operation, and this health center supports their well-being," said Dot Foods Indiana General Manager Rick Popp. "By relocating our Family Health Center on site, we're making it easier for employees and their families to maintain routine health needs and get timely support when someone isn't feeling well."

Comprehensive Healthcare Services On Site

The 1,700-square-foot Family Health Center, operated by Marathon Health, includes exam rooms, a laboratory, and office space. Services include preventive screenings, chronic disease management, annual physicals, wellness education, lab work, and vaccinations. Employees and their families also have access to generic prescriptions at minimal or no cost. Marathon’s providers pride themselves on a personal approach to medicine so they can address the unique needs of each employee.

The Dot Family Health Center is also a certified provider of Department of Transportation physicals, giving Dot Transportation drivers a convenient location to complete required exams that support federal compliance and reduce time away from their routes.

Many services at the Family Health Center are free for employees and their dependents. When there is a cost, it remains low, and employees may use their health savings accounts. This structure reduces out-of-pocket expenses and makes regular care more accessible for families who are balancing work and school schedules.

"Our culture centers on supporting employees and their families," said Mandi Clark, vice president of human resources at Dot Foods. "Over the last 11 years, we’ve seen the positive impact the Family Health Center has on our Cambridge City team. We’re really excited about this next chapter, because we believe relocating the family health center just steps away from our distribution center makes it an even more valuable resource.”

Dot's founders, Robert F. Tracy and Dorothy Tracy, built the company around supporting employees and their families. That focus remains part of Dot's culture, reflected in efforts such as offering on-site Family Health Centers at its 13 U.S. distribution centers.
