One of the food industry’s first in-person trade shows since the pandemic hit is right around the corner. Dot Foods’ trade show, Innovations, will take place July 21-23, 2021, at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Over 500 customer companies have reserved their spot at the trade show, which has a full schedule to give customers, national account operators, and suppliers the space and time to network and discover new products. Registration is still open.

“The turnout for this event is proof that our industry is ready to get back to face-to-face interactions,” said Dot’s Trade Show Manager Charlsie Pinkerton. “We know it’s not going to look the same as years past, but I am excited to see the industry get back to business as usual.”

With almost 2,000 people planning to attend the show, Dot Foods has kept a close eye on local, state, and federal guidelines to ensure the safety of all its attendees. The team has made adjustments throughout their planning process to make sure the show goes on this year. The 2020 show was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are confident we are creating a safe space while also providing a fun experience that is meaningful for everyone who attends,” Pinkerton said. “Due to the CDC’s and local government’s guidelines, trade show attendees who have been fully vaccinated will not be required to wear a mask during the event.”

To allow for extra space between the booths and to give more walking room throughout the show, Dot reserved 260,000 square feet of space within America’s Center. The America’s Center team will disinfect and clean the entire venue before the doors open Friday morning. To see the full list of safety measures, click here.

During registration, trade show attendees have the unique opportunity to choose what welcome event they would like to attend this year: a sit-down dinner at the Marriott Grand or an evening at the historic Union Station, experiencing the Ferris wheel, aquarium, and other new attractions there.

“The event at Union Station is going to be particularly special as it’s one of the first private events held at St. Louis’ newest attraction,” Pinkerton said.

Another wildly popular event at Innovations, the Industry Update, will be back again this year. Dot CEO Joe Tracy will take the stage to share his research around the state of the industry and Dot Foods, issues that impact Dot’s partners’ day-to-day operations, and more.

Customers and exhibitors can also choose what two additional seminars that interest them. National account operators have a customized day filled with a keynote by Jack Li, a panel hosted by Cathy Nash Holley, and a conversation with Chef Roy Choi.
