Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI) recently raised its paid-time-off (PTO) rate for each day of holiday, sick, personal, or bereavement leave.
This change contributed to an average $2,500 increase in DTI driver salaries this year. Mileage contributed to roughly half of this increase. In March, Dot Foods and DTI employees will also receive a 3 percent profit-sharing bonus in their 401(k) accounts.
DTI is known for having one of the most competitive benefits packages and payment programs in the transportation industry. Dot Foods and DTI have had zero layoffs in their over 60-year history. Prior to the PTO increase, drivers received an annual benefits package valued at over $22,000.
DTI also offers multiple ways to get paid, including pay per mile, drop pay, stop pay, and an average of $2,500-$3,000 in bonuses.
“This past year has shown the world how valuable truck drivers are to our economy and our lives,” said DTI President Bryan Langston. “Their money is well-earned, and we’re excited to be able to offer them more for their hard work in 2021 and the years ahead.”
