Charitable giving in the U.S. could be down by as much as $25 billion this year, but vulnerable communities need our help more than ever. To do our part, Dot Foods has donated nearly $5.5 million worth of food and hosted blood drives at our Mt. Sterling headquarters.
We’re also continuing to work on our passion projects. Our ties with the Alzheimer’s Association and the United Way remain as strong as ever. Dot has been dedicated to the fight against Alzheimer’s since our co-founder Robert Tracy’s (RT) long battle with the disease. We have also supported the United Way in their commitment to education, income, and health services for many years. In 2019, we had the highest per capita Alzheimer’s Association fundraising of any company and donated $462,000 to the United Way.
Starting September 7, we will renew our efforts by donating to both nonprofits. Dot will match employee donations to the Alzheimer’s Association dollar for dollar and local United Way chapters 50 cents on the dollar. Employee donation forms are due October 22 for Alzheimer's Association and November 16 for the United Way.
At Dot, caring for our communities is always an essential service. To learn more about our charity initiatives, visit our Giving in Action page.
