Twenty-six students went on a shopping spree this holiday season, thanks to Dot Foods’ Modesto distribution center. On Tuesday, Dec. 13 and Monday, Dec. 14, Dot employees took students from Robertson Road Elementary School and Central Valley High School shopping and to dinner at McDonald’s.
Each child was allowed $150 to purchase warm clothes and a few toys that they would not otherwise be able to buy this holiday season. Additionally, three of the students purchased a few items for their younger siblings.
“We feel very fortunate at Dot and we enjoy giving back to children in our community during the holidays,” said Becky Shokraii, HR Manager at Dot Foods. “Dot has partnered with various charitable organizations throughout the year but we enjoy having the opportunity to work specifically with the children in this capacity.”
