After receiving $20,000 from Dot Foods Cambridge City, Communities In Schools of Wayne County shared the impact of this donation: “This gift is more than just a number. It’s hope for a child who needs a mentor. It’s resources for a family navigating tough times. It’s opportunity where it once seemed impossible.”
This is why we do what we do. At Dot Foods, we care about the communities we call home and are always looking for ways to provide hope, resources, and opportunity to those who need it most. We’ve done this all throughout 2025, thanks to our dedicated, employee-led charitable committees across our locations. Here are just some of our charitable initiatives from the year so far.
-
As part of our program to support STEM education, we awarded grants to 23 schools in West Central Illinois, totalling more than $170,000. These grants will help educators provide hands-on, real-world STEM learning in classrooms starting this fall.
-
Dot Foods Burley presented $100,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Magic Valley to build a new nutrition center. This marks one of the largest donations ever made outside of our Mt. Sterling headquarters.
-
After St. Louis experienced a devastating tornado in May, we donated $80,000 to the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. We also made two separate deliveries of 20,000 pounds of product to the organization for their drive-up food and supply distributions.
-
As part of the grand opening of our relocated Dot Foods Calgary distribution center, we donated $25,000 across local organizations, including Roots 2 STEM, Hope Mission, Calgary United Way, Calgary Police Youth, and Alzheimer Calgary.
-
Our annual companywide Alzheimer’s Association fundraiser is underway. This cause became personal for Dot Foods after our co-founder, Robert (RT) Tracy, lost his battle to Alzheimer’s. Every donation from our employees is matched dollar for dollar. Throughout the year, we also host educational events and participate in Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
-
Dot Foods Bear donated more than $16,000 worth of food to local pantries throughout May.
-
Dot Foods Modesto awarded a $10,000 grant to Sierra Vista Child & Family Services, which provides behavioral health services and resources.
-
United Way of Adams County presented our Mt. Sterling headquarters with the 2024 Business Hero Award. Along with our Alzheimer’s Association fundraising campaign, our locations raise money for local United Way chapters by matching employee donations dollar for dollar.
