June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
Appropriately, Dot Foods also kicked off our Alzheimer’s fundraising campaign this month. From June 1-July 31, we’ll provide a one-to-one match for every donation to the Alzheimer’s Association made by our employees.
Our company has the distinction of raising the most money per capita for the organization. “Dot Foods’ efforts on both education and fundraising are unprecedented for a company of its size. We simply have not seen this level of success before, even from companies with a much larger workforce,” said Jim Medd, senior associate director of corporate initiatives for the Alzheimer’s Association.
We’re excited to continue our relationship with the Alzheimer’s Association for the sixth consecutive year. For information on how you can contribute, read our article. In addition to our campaign, we participated in several other charitable activities this month.
