This month, employees from across our locations convened for our annual National Business Meeting (NBM). In addition to sharing goals and strategies for the year ahead, NBM creates a space to reaffirm our company values, as well as our commitment to philanthropy.
In his presentation, Dot Foods CEO Dick Tracy paid special tribute to Jean Buckley, who left her post as president of the Tracy Family Foundation (TFF) after 26 years. TFF is a nonprofit established in 1997 by the children of Dot’s founders, Robert and Dorothy Tracy, to invest in the counties of West Central Illinois and other causes significant to family members.
Buckley will continue her work with TFF, taking on special projects and serving as a member of the board. Taking over for her is Dan Teefey, who previously served as TFF’s executive director. Susan Stamerjohn will transition to chair of the TFF Board of Trustees after serving as vice president.
“Our family business and our foundation are much better off because of what she did in her career,” said Tracy at NBM. “Jean, we are extremely proud of you. We can’t thank you for everything you’ve done for us.”
With spirits high after NBM, our locations and business leaders carried on with charitable activities.
Dot Foods Executive Chairman John Tracy and his wife Linda were honored at the Alzheimer’s Association’s Beacon of Hope Gala for their work with the organization over the past 15 years.
High school basketball season was a busy time for our locations. Schools near Dot Foods Cambridge City, Dot Foods Williamsport, and Dot Foods Dyersburg had students test their half-court and free-throw shot skills to earn money for various causes.
In addition to donating $3,000 to Faith Feeding Freedom, the Williamsport distribution center also gave the organization a tour of the facility and provided clothing to help unhoused people stay warm.
