This month, Dot Foods has been spreading holiday cheer through toy drives, event sponsorships, and charitable activities across our locations.
One way we’ve supported our communities this season is through Neighbor to Neighbor, our pantry donation program. Although not specifically intended for the holidays, our fall deliveries equip food pantries to meet pent-up demand this time of year.
Unlike most pantry donations, Neighbor to Neighbor empowers pantries to choose the food and necessities they need from our selection. Dot Foods and Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI) employees across multiple departments then work to prepare, deliver, and unload the donated product. Thanks to the dedication of employees at all our U.S. locations, we’ve donated approximately $415,000 worth of product to 83 food pantries in 2023.
Several locations closed out the year with charitable activities.
Dot Foods Ardmore donated $25,000 to an event for Feed the Children, which provided food and goods to 400 families.
Dot Foods University Park gifted Marian Catholic High School with $21,000 to fund a variety of projects, including athletic stadium renovations, scholarships, and community outreach programs on and off campus.
Dot Foods Dyersburg received an award for their support of the Alzheimer’s Association. Our distribution center raised $15,000 through the Jackson Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Dot Foods Liverpool donated nearly $5,000 worth of product to the Salvation Army for a Christmas event providing food, presents, and clothing to low-income families.
