Dot Foods employees always strive to be good neighbors. This National Volunteer Month, we want to share how their volunteer work impacts their communities.
Through our Teaming with Local Charities (TLC) program, we provide volunteer opportunities to employees at several of our locations. Plus, for every 20 hours of volunteering, employees can receive eight hours of paid time off (PTO) or donate $400 to an approved non-profit organization of their choice.
Last year, employees volunteered more than 2,800 hours through TLC. Many of these employees generously opted to provide a donation instead of PTO. As a result, we gave $23,000 to nonprofits through the program.
Thank you to our employees for giving their time and energy to their communities. As we expand our TLC program across our locations, we look forward to increasing our volunteer activities and helping more of our neighbors!
