MT.STERLING, Ill - Dot Foods, the nation's largest food redistributor, is proud to announce a new partnership with prominent Mediterranean-style supplier Grecian Delight Foods (Grecian Delight). Dot will offer Grecian Delight's expansive lineup of gyro meat, flatbreads, Mediterranean spreads and Greek yogurt, amongst other offerings. Shipments of Grecian Delight products began on September 10, 2012.
"We're excited about this partnership as Grecian Delight represents a 40 percent share of the Mediterranean-style food market," said Park Plank, senior business development manager at Dot Foods. "They are an acknowledged innovator in the rapidly-expanding category of Greek and Mediterranean ethnic foods."
Adding Grecian Delight to Dot's Mediterranean offering, which recently also picked up sun-dried tomato supplier Mooney Farms, will help to significantly drive sales in this group. Customers can now order as little as one case of Grecian Delight products within their Dot order, rather than having to meet required minimums of a direct order.
"This is an opportunity to join a program that is putting an emphasis on the products we sell," said Bill Poulos, vice president of sales at Grecian Delight. "We know that Dot will help push sales of our products in smaller markets."
