LIVERPOOL, N.Y. – On Friday, April 29, Dot Foods’ Liverpool distribution center employees and their family members, along with neighboring businesses, celebrated Earth Day by teaming up to clean up their part of Liverpool before enjoying a cookout. Dot Foods also held a home electronics recycling drive and cell phone collection.

“Due to the weather and area wide flooding, our turnout was lower this year. However, spirits were not dampened and everyone enjoyed the time out of the office and the cookout that followed the cleanup,” said Tammy Lattin, Dot Foods administrative assistant.

Each of Dot Foods’ eight distribution centers across the country held its own Earth Day event, with activities ranging from neighborhood cleanups to cell phone and home electronics recycling. Company-wide, Dot held lunch ‘n learns during the week of April 25 on “green” topics, including recycling, home energy efficiency and raised bed gardening.
