Robert and Dorothy Tracy founded our company in 1960, with big dreams of starting a family business and streamlining the food supply chain.
Sixty years later, we make more products more accessible to more people than ever before. We do this by purchasing large quantities of product from the supplier and storing it in our 12 distribution centers across the country. Our distributor and food processor customers then order our food and non-food items in less-than-truckload (LTL) quantities, which we deliver in as little as two to four days.
Our business model, the talents of our 5,900 employees, and the Tracy family's ownership have helped our company become the largest food industry redistributor in North America. But even more importantly, the dream that took shape all those years ago is still driving our partners' businesses forward.
We sell food industry products to and provide innovative solutions for 5,500 customers in the United States and Canada.
We partner with 1,000 suppliers to ensure our customers have a plethora of options when ordering with us.
This grows constantly, but today we have 133,000 products available to view and purchase on DotFoods.com and Expressway.
Our 14 distribution centers have a combined 4.2 million square feet of ambient, refrigerated, and frozen space.
Between April and December 2020, we donated over $15.1 million worth of food product to nonprofit organizations across the United States.
