The vending channel provides food items at an unattended point of sale through the use of monetarily driven equipment. Dot Foods sells products to the vending distributor, who in turn sells to vending operators who actually load the candy, food and beverages into vending machines.
Similar to foodservice, the vending channel has special pricing situations, such as a Vending Distributor Allowance (VDA). Dot Foods works with many food manufacturers' who allow us to offer their special pricing and VDA allowances to our vending distributor customers.
- No individual product line minimums - just one combined minimum of 5,000 lbs. for all manufacturers and temperatures.
- Consolidation of costly less-than-truckload (LTL) vendors into 1 order, 1 delivery and 1 invoice.
- Increased inventory turns and better cash flow by ordering weekly with short lead-times. This is especially beneficial in the hard to manage perishable food areas.
- Continuation of all negotiated manufacturer pricing, discounts and marketing support.
- Access to hundreds of vending items from the industry's leading manufacturers.
