Over the years, manufacturers who participate in TMP have seen great sales results. In 2004, case sales to Independent distributors from TMP suppliers grew by 35%.
Independent distributors earn points in a calendar year for purchasing:
- New product lines distributor hasn't purchased from Dot
- 15% more cases of higher volume product lines (distributor purchased 250 cases or more)
- 50 cases more of lower volume lines (distributor purchased less than 250 cases from Dot)

Independent distributors' points accrue toward a fabulous trip! Destinations have included Jamaica, the Bahamas, the Mexican Riviera, and Hawaii. In addition to TMP point winners, Dot invites some of our largest Group and Independent distributors. This expense-paid trip* has proven to be a great incentive for distributors to broaden their product base and to meet manufacturers.
Included in the TMP program fee for participating manufacturers is the cost for one company senior executive and guest to join us on the trip - a great opportunity to spend time with the winning distributors and Dot senior management.

Manufacturers who participate in TMP are also reserved a prime spot in Dot's Annual Food Show for Independent distributors and Dot salespeople. This is another way for manufacturers to meet distributors and train our sales force. Attendance at the Dot Food Show is typically more than 250 distributors. In 2005, those distributors purchased more than 90,000 cases of product.
