Dot Foods is doing its part to help the Burley community stay active by sponsoring a 5K Fun Run and Walk at their distribution center on October 13. The course starts and ends in the distribution center's parking lot and nearly 60 participants have pre-registered to participate.
"We're hoping that we can get a number of people from the community to come out and participate in the healthy event for a good cause," said Terry Andrew, Human Resources manager at Dot Foods. "This is a great family-friendly event and all proceeds are going to the United Way."
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Dot Foods parking lot and the race starts at 10. The entry fee is $15 and all participants receive a Dot T-shirt with all proceeds going to the United Way.
