Dot Foods is pleased to announce a donation of $2,000 to Stanislaus Partners in Education (SPIE), an organization committed to helping schools better prepare students for the workforce after high school or college.
"We're proud to be able to offer assistance to SPIE to make sure students are properly prepared for the workplace," said Dot Foods Western Region Distribution Center General Manager Rich Raham. "It's important that we help to lay the foundation for our youth to succeed as professionals."
SPIE Executive Director Judie Piscitello accepted the $2,000 check from Dot Human Resources Manager Victoria Welch and Raham at their facility in Modesto. In the 2011-12 year, SPIE awarded 18 Career Education Grants, which reached 4,642 students, and 41 Incentive Grants, which impacted 1,466 students in Stanislaus County.
"We're thankful for the continued support of the businesses in the community," Piscitello said. "It is our hope that donations like these will continue to help push our youth to become productive employees in the community."
