MT. STERLING, Ill. - Dot Foods, the nation's leading food redistributor, recently recognized ten of their top suppliers with the annual 2011 Dot Quality and Service Award.  The award honors Dot's supplier partners who assist with providing the highest level of service to distributors.

This year's winners are American Licorice, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Handi-Foil of America, Inc., Malt-O-Meal, Precision Foods, Stratas Foods, Sweet Streets Desserts and Tyson Foods. In addition, Bosco's Pizza Co. and Cargill Kitchen Solutions were honored with the award for the sixth and 14thconsecutive years, respectively. Dot honors the winners in a variety of ways, including a presentation at each supplier's facility.

"Over the past 50 years, we've been committed to providing our customers with the highest quality customer service," said Joe Tracy, president and chief operating officer of Dot Foods. "The partnership we have with our suppliers allows us to continue to provide that level of service to our customers."

Suppliers must meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for the award, including meeting overall inbound service levels, communication with Dot via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), as well as other service and communication expectations.
