"We're pleased that we were able to raise our pledge for 2014," said Dot Foods Human Resources Manager and Dot United Way Committee Chair Gina Ruffcorn. "As a continually growing company, it's great that we can keep that same growth in community involvement and charity."

Dot's Mt.Sterling-based headquarters is pledging a total of $186,888 that will benefit the Adams County, Brown County, Cass County, McDonough County, Prairieland and Schuyler County United Ways. The company's Illinois location donated $164,607 to the local United Way in 2013.

"Dot Foods is a leading philanthropic partner in the region. The impact of their contributions is significant," said Adams County United Way Executive Director Cheryl Waterman. "The company and its associates are fine examples of United Way's call to action - they give, advocate and volunteer."
