Transport Topics has named Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dot Foods, to the 2012 Transport Topics Top 100 Private Carriers list. The prestigious freight transportation industry publication ranked DTI's fleet of more than 800 tractors and 1,300 trailers 37th on the list for the second consecutive year.
Transport Topics 100 is an annual survey of the largest for-hire and private company motor carriers. The list accurately and objectively documents the size and scope of the largest trucking operations and provides timely analysis of trends shaping the industry.
"It's an honor for our fleet to be recognized, because there's a lot of hard work that goes into what we do," said Paul Mugerditchian, president of DTI. "We've continued to invest in our people and resources to make sure we continue to maintain one of the best fleets on the road. It's great that our people receive the recognition they deserve."
With its high-level fleet, DTI is able to maintain one of the lowest driver turnover rates in the industry. The updated and well-serviced fleet is maintained by Dot mechanics and features a safety record ranked in the top 20 percent according to the Department of Transportation.
Dot is currently experiencing tremendous growth and is looking to hire nearly 50 drivers at their eight distribution centers around the country. DTI offers competitive wages, benefits, home time and bonus incentives.
