MT. STERLING, Ill. – Dot Foods, the nation’s largest food redistributor, is proud to announce the addition of Ferrero U.S.A. Inc. as its newest supplier, with deliveries beginning July 4. Ferrero U.S.A. manufactures Tic Tac®, Nutella® and Ferrero Rocher® chocolates.

Ferrero U.S.A. joins 14 other manufacturers as suppliers in Dot’s confection category, which was created in 2006. Thanks to this new partnership with Dot Foods, Ferrero distributor customers may purchase Ferrero products with no minimum. In addition, Dot’s weekly deliveries with a two- to four-day lead time enable the customers to respond faster to retailers’ needs, while at the same time increasing inventory turns.

“We are excited about the addition of Ferrero U.S.A. and confident the company and its customers will be satisfied with the partnership,” said Lee Leffers, Dot’s Senior Business Development Manager. “As our confection category expands, we are continuously investing into this segment.”

One such investment is the recent expansion of its Mt. Sterling, Ill., warehouse to add capacity for new manufacturers, as well as additional items for existing manufacturers. Dot added 136,000 square feet and reconfigured its current dry warehouse. Dot included a devoted area for confections, housing 2,000 slots as part of the overall expansion.
