ARDMORE, Okla. - Employees from Dot Foods' Ardmore distribution center donated gifts and food items for the 2011 Marine Toys for Tots campaign in southern Oklahoma and for foster children in the area through the Department of Health and Human Services.
Dot Foods donated approximately 175 toys to the Toys for Tots Drive leading up to Christmas. This is the fourth year that Dot employees have participated in collecting toys for the drive. The remaining money that had been collected was used to purchase gift cards and other items for the foster children, including a laptop that was provided to a 17 year old boy. These gifts were provided to over 60 families.
"Our employees are always so generous in giving to local organizations, especially around the holidays," notedPenni Wilson, Dot HR manager. "We're really proud of our employees and grateful for the support they show to the community and those in need."
