A cornerstone of Dot's unique culture is our commitment to the professional development of our employees. We encourage employees to sharpen their skills through ongoing training. Dot offers a curriculum of more than 60 courses, taught by Dot managers, industry experts, training consultants and instructors from local colleges. Topics range from software skills training to leadership development.
Every full-time Dot employee is required to take at least 40 hours of training per year. All employees receive a full-day orientation course, as well as "Sexual Harassment in the Workplace" and "Our Culture of Quality" training. Advanced training for managers includes "Communicating in a Diverse Environment" and "Performance Improvement through Positive Reinforcement."
