A Local/Area Customer Delivery Specialist at Dot Transportation Inc. (DTI) delivers product to Dot Foods customers and picks up product from supplier locations. As a Local/Area Customer Delivery Specialist, you normally will be home each night, with occasional overnights. You will also travel within a 200-mile radius of a Dot location.
- Access load paperwork, determine tractor, trailer and load to be handled, understand and follow directions to customer and supplier locations.
- Ability to consistently meet established company production and service level standards.
- Load / unload dry, frozen and refrigerated product as required.
- Maintain all driver logbooks and paperwork as required.
- High School diploma or general equivalency degree preferred
- Ability to safely lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly for loading, unloading and restacking of product.
- Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and clean Motor Vehicle Report required.
- HAZMAT endorsement must be obtained before being released from company driver training program.
- Medical examiner certificate from a company-approved examiner.
- Compliance with the rules and regulations as established by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation and the Motor Vehicle Codes as established by any state and local government in which the driver is operating / working.
- Minimum of one year of over-the-road driving experience.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
